Coils

Antec designs and manufactures coils in a range of configurations and sizes using solid or hollow conductors. Winding is carried out with great care on customised mandrels. The coils are vacuum pressure impregnated using mostly epoxy resins featuring high radiation resistance. Welds for electrical and hydraulic connections are made by qualified personnel to guarantee their quality

Assembly

Spare parts are assembled in the magnets with the utmost care to comply with the strict mechanical tolerances which are usually required. Finally, insulation between the coils and the magnetic cores is controlled with high DC voltage. In the case of water-cooled magnets, the flow rate is verified and water tightness is checked at a pressure much higher than rated operating pressure.
