ROTOR BRAKES / Fixed and Floating Calipers 

Rotor Brakes are used in wind turbines as a complement to the aerodynamic braking system (Pitch).  It is the last braking system before the complete stop of the blades.  They are also used as an emergency brake and as a safety brake during the maintenance operations of the turbine.

At ANTEC we have a wide range of Rotor brakes depending on the type of Wind Turbine (with Gearbox or Direct Drive system), or depending on the braking system itself (fixed or floating)
